ABOUT ME

Welcome to my Engineering Portfolio! I am Jiamei Goodwin, a 3rd year mechanical engineering student at Northeastern. I grew up on Mercer Island, a suburb right outside of Seattle, before moving to Boston. Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to be an engineer. I quickly became obsessed with 3d-printers in middle school when I was first introduced to them. I loved being able to create whatever I wanted, while also learning a lot from the many many times I had to disassemble and re-assemble my printer to fix it. What started as a 3d-printing hobby quickly grew into a passion for this field as I continued to eagerly take anything apart in hopes of discovering how it worked inside.

Outside of engineering, I also play the flute, love to draw, and am always looking for a reason to be driving!

With my university engineering club projects, research and co-op experience, and home projects, I hope to use this portfolio to showcase some of my work and what I have learned over the years.
