Problem: Create a hidden, unpickable, 2-factor authentication lock

    Includes:​

  • RFID tags

  • Capacitive touch buttons

  • SLA printed gear system

  • Button for manual locking and unlocking

  • Battery level indicator

  • Color indicator to display if it is locked or unlocked

Contributions: Capacitive touch cover

  • SLA printed cover to securely hold the capacitive touch boards in place allowing for 4 separate invisible buttons

  • Designed for easy assembly by the user

  • Designed to look exactly like a normal lock from the outside

  • Includes a real but nonfunctional keyhole

  • Spray painted with matte black to further its appearance as a normal lock

  • Designed so that none of the inside electronics are accessible from the outside
